Nigerian Stock fall by n79m

The Nigerian Stock Exchange market (NSE) has depreciated by N79 billion.

However, volume of shares traded, however, recorded an increase from 361.4 million shares worth N5.57 billion in 7,259 deals, on Tuesday, to 6.494 million units, valued at N2.6 billion.

Specifically, 38 stocks depreciated in price, as Flourmills of Nigeria Plc topped the day’s losers table with 154 kobo to close at N71.01 per share, while Cadbury Nigeria Plc followed, shedding 148 kobo to close at N28.31 per share.

Other losers on Wednessday included Ashakacement Nigeria Plc, Oando Plc and Larfage Wapco Cement Plc, with 114 kobo, 105 kobo and 98 kobo to close at N21.67, N66.95 and  N42. per share.

On the gainers chart, Custodian Insurance Plc led14 others with 11 kobo to close at N2.75 per share, Honeywell Nigeria Plc followed, adding 11 kobo, to close at N5.38 per share. Capital Hotel Nigeria Plc, International Breweries Plc and C&L Leasing gained 11 kobo, 10 kobo and 107 kobo, to close at N2.71, N6.90 and N2.14 per share.
