Nigeria news-Celicia Ibru slumps in Court

Former Managing Director of Oceanic Bank, Mrs. Cecilia Ibru  slumped in court today, as she and 14 other former Bank Executives were arraigned on a total 117 count charges

The other accused former Bank executives include  Mr. Sebastin Adigwe (Afribank), Mr. Okey Nwosu (Finbank and Mr. Bartholomew Ebong (Union).

Celicia Ibru slumped in the dock as the charges were being read, and the presiding judge later ruled that she should be remanded in EFCC custody and given access to her personal physician

Judge rules that Cecelia Ibru should be remanded in EFCC custody and should be allowed access to see her personal physician.

    Nigeria’s unattractive ports causes $56b loss

    Secretary of the Indigenous Shipowners Association of Nigeria (ISAN), Captain D. O. Labinjo,  says Nigeria loses about $56 billion annually for bunkering service to 177,000 ships sailing from Singapore to United State of America (USA) and Europe to Angola and Coat D’Ivoire because of its unattractive ports operation.

    Nigeria vs Tunisia-Amodu extends invitation to Utaka, Nwaneri

    Portsmouth striker John Utaka and FC Sion defender Obinna Nwaneri have been given a late call up for Nigeria’s National football team scheduled to meet Tunisia in a World Cup qualifier September 6.

    Disclosing this today, Nigeria team official Emmanuel Attah said the Super Eagles Coach Shuibu Amodu said Wolfsburg striker Obafemi Martins is left out of the squad over fitness fears.
