BusinessDay’s Contributing Editor, Anthony Osae-Brown, has emerged among the finalists in the Diageo Africa Business Reporting Awards.
This comes a month after he won the Citi Journalistic Excellence award.
His entry, ‘Spending Spree at Presidency,’ was shortlisted among others which will go through a panel of judges and the winners announced in London next month.
CNBC Africa’s Nigeria reporter Keisha Gitari’s entry ‘Behind Nigeria Fashion Industry’ was also listed for the award. Over 1220 entries were received from 21 countries across Africa and the rest of the world
The judging panel brings together global experts from the media, business, as well as pan-African initiatives and organisations.
Commenting on this year’s awards, Nick Blazquez, president, Diageo Africa said, “The finalists represent those who are leading the way in business reporting on Africa. The shortlisted entrants have gone the extra mile in reporting the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Africa.
