Etisalat’s subscribers increase to 5m in Nigeria.

Etisalat announced that five million active subscribers are now talking on its Nigerian operation network. The innovative telecommunication company has achieved this in less than two years of commercial operations in Nigeria’s dynamic and highly competitive telecommunications market.This impressive increase attained in subscriber base attests to the yearning of Nigerians for a superior GSM service and demonstrates that customers are delighted with Etisalat’s world-class product offering and service delivery which is in line with the telecoms company’s practice in major markets Etisalat operates in.  Nigerians have seen the value Etisalat provide them and the ease it has brought to their lives in less than two years of commercial operations. In KSA Mobily launched service in 32 cities against license requirement of only in seven cities, bringing coverage to 79.2 per cent of the population and attracting first million subscribers in less than 90 days.”

“Etisalat Misr, which launched its operations in May 2007, acquired approximately its one million subscribers in the first 50 days of operation,” Ali added.

Etisalat  Nigeria recorded many achievements including being adjudged the best telecommunications service provider by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), was poised to continue with the tradition of excellence which it is known for in its different operations in Africa, Middle East and Asia.  Etisalat Nigeria entered the market ready to compete keenly with a promise to get and keep.
