An e-discussion on realizing the rights to water and sanitation commenced yesterday and will last for three weeks, closing on November 15, 2013.
Facilitated by Catarina de Albuquerque, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the human right to safe drinking water and sanitation, the e-discussion will specifically focus on Catarina’s Handbook for realizing the rights to water and sanitation.
The questions for discussion in the first week of the e-discussion are below:
1. Which individuals and groups do you consider to be the most disadvantaged or vulnerable?
2. How have you identified people who are likely to be disadvantaged individuals and groups with respect to access to water, sanitation and hygiene?
3. What have you done to ensure that the needs of individuals and groups who are likely to be disadvantaged are met?
