Legislators want to be involved in appointment of NDDC board

Nigeria News

Members of Nigeria’s Federal House of Representatives want to be involved in the appointment of new board members for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Chairman, House Committee on the NDDC, Honourable Nicholas Mutu, told Journalists in Abuja that:

“The Parliament must not be ignored when decisions bothering on appointing men and women who will drive the objectives of the Commission are being made. We strongly believe that it is imperative for the President to carry out wide consultations with the various stakeholders which should include the National Assembly and its relevant Committees before the appointments are made”.
