Honourable Emmanuel Go’ar has lost its job as the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, today.
This is sequel to a vote of no confidence passed on his leadership by his colleagues in the State House of Assembly, and an impeachment motion supported by 17 out of the 24 members of the state Legislature.
A new Speaker has been appointed in person of Honourable I. Nwansat, representing Pankshin Constituency. Speaking on the reasons for the removal of Hon. Go’ar, the Chairman of the State House of Assembly, alleged that the impeached Speaker of ‘weak leadership’.
The State of Asssembly has adjourned sitting till January 27, 2009.
