Lagos state government has pledged to establish more Air Monitoring Stations across strategic areas across the state, so as to tackle the rampant case of air pollution.

The General Manager of the state Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) Mr Rasheed Adebola Shabi made this known while addressing newsmen in his office at the Secretariat, Alausa.

According to Shabi, the Air Monitoring Stations when installed have the capacity to generate data on 24 hours basis by providing update information on the kind of air, available at any part of the state at a given.

Mr Shabi also used the period to warn industries that still violate the state environmental law on proper management of wastes to desist from such and that the few companies who were recently shut were signals that the government will not tolerate nonsense.
