Speaking during the opening of contract bids for the 2010 NAF capital projects in Abuja, Ogunmodede said the contracts will be awarded the rehabilitation of transverse and longitudinal joints and safety areas as well as airfield lighting for taxiways and apron in the airport.
The runway bird and wildlife hazard protection system will rehabilitate.
Work will also commence in the airport for the provision and installation of stand-alone distance measuring equipment for runway 05 and 23 while runway rapid intervention impulse fire extinguishing system will also be provided.
He said total of 78 companies indicated interest to undertake the 2010 NAF capital projects including the development of the NAF institute of safety in Ipeju-Ijesha, Oshun state.
