Nigerian Leo Atakpu leads ANEW

Leo Otakpu, ANEW Chair

The African Civil Society Network for Water and Sanitation (ANEW), has appointed new set of officers with Nigerian Leo Atakpu emerging as the Chair of the Board.

He succeeds Professor Edward Kairu of the Maji na Ufanisi  Kenyan non governmental organization who has been serving in that capacity for the past six years.

Other officers of the Board are: Eng. Musinguzi Francis – Uganda, Mrs. Catherine Mwango – Kenya – Vice Chair, Dr Chaima George – Malawi; Mr Ousseni Diallo – Burkina Faso, Mirelle Ngoma – DRC, Alhadj Dauoda Adam – Chad, and Zerouati Fatma Zohra – Algeria

The elections took place at the Africa Sanitation and Hygiene Conference Africasan3, which ended in Kigali, Rwanda, yesterday.
