Nigeria’s university students protest water shortages

Students of Nigeria’s oldest university, the University of Ibadan in Oyo state, Nigeria yesterday protested for several hours over non availability of water and electricity on campus.

The spokesman of the student Amuda Mosigbodi alleged that they were in continuous black out for four days, and there was water scarcity on the campus with a threat of exposure to epidemic diseases.

A University don, Prof. Afolabi Bamgboye have however, queried the students action saying the issues involvedould only be resolved by the Federal Government.
