Oil bunkering in Ogun state, Nigeria

A TIMELY intervention  of men and Officers of the Ogun State Command of Nigeria Security  and Civil defense Corps(NSCD) have prevented  the complete vandalisation  of some  pipelines  by Oil bunkerers at Imero village in the Ijebu East local Government area of Ogun state.

Two Tankers loaded with petrol stolen from the pipelines were impounded and handed over to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), by staff of the NSCD, yesterday.

Sources hinted that the villagers alerted the NSCD officers on sighting  strangers in the area and the para military men quickly swung into action.

Mr. Kareem Olanrewaju, the Public Relations Officer of NSCD confirmed the incident adding that an appropriate action has been taken on the matter.

He disclosed that Mr. Waheed Popoola, the State Commander of NSCD has handed over the two tankers impounded to the state NNPC Head quarters.
