The Anambra State Children’s parliament sitting at the Governor’s Lodge, Awka has passed a vote of confidence in the administration of Governor Peter Obi.
The speaker of the Parliament, Miss Nwamaka Uzoigwe, said the tour enabled them to see things for themselves and extolled the transformation of all sectors in the state.
Miss Uzoigwe noted that Governor Obi had laid a solid foundation for sustainable development and restored hope of a brighter future for the people of the state.
The member representing the state in the National Children’s Parliament, Master Samuel Oramulu, said that they were impressed with the standard of the projects seen which he noted, compared with what obtained in developed nations.
Also, other members of the parliament said Governor Obi had fulfilled his promises to the people and justified the confidence reposed in him.
Moving a motion for adjournment, the majority leader of the parliament, William Okpoko, appealed to the state government to enforce strict ban on hawking to protect children from danger.
