Preparations are in top gear for the 6th World Water Forum http://www.worldwaterforum6.org taking place in Marseille, France’s second largest city between March 12-17, 2012.
Several preparatory processes, high level round tables and regional meetings are being rounded up as the count down towards the event with the theme ‘Time for Solutions’ reaches its last days.
Organised every three years since 1997, the World Water Forum mobilises creativity, innovation, competence and know-how in favour of water. It gathers all stakeholders around today’s local, regional and global issues that cannot be undertaken without all stakeholders into a common framework of goals and concrete targets to reach.
This year’s event is expected to be attended by over 140 ministerial delegations, about 800 speakers and 25 000 participants. Over 250 sessions and panels and about 100 Grassroots & Citizenship events
will also hold during the one week event.
The goal of the 6th World Water Forum is to tackle the challenges our world is facing and to bring water high on all political agendas.
